Volunteer Role

The role involves welcoming people to the group, supporting them to access activities, chatting, listening and joining in with the fun. No experience is necessary, just an empathy for people living with dementia and a willingness to work as part of a team. The Hub Clubs are a place for people living with dementia to continue to do the things they enjoy in a safe, supportive environment. They run from 10am to 3pm, and volunteers can do the full session or a half day, depending on their preference.

In the first instance we will meet to discuss the role and complete the volunteering paperwork. We will ask for details of two people who can provide a reference for you, and also that you declare any criminal convictions. Once you are signed up to volunteer, we will organise an induction and a start date.
