Privacy Policy

The right to privacy in one's personal life is one of the hallmarks of a free society.

The organisations registered on Compassehub recognise the right to privacy of the individual as a basic human right, and accept that personal details about an individual belong to that individual.

We aim to ensure that information learned about individuals in the course of our work is treated with absolute integrity and honesty, by staff and volunteers alike.

  • Compass registered organisations undertake to use information which is learned about individuals for the sole purpose for which it is given.
  • Confidentiality and security of records will be maintained: access to records will be restricted to those persons who are authorised to see them and on a “need to know” basis.
  • Information relating to an individual will not be given to a third party without that individual's knowledge.
  • Recipients of services provided through the platform will have a right of access to records which relate to them, rights to rectification, erasure, data processing and portability, to object and to prevent automated decision making.
  • Any unauthorised disclosure of information (verbal or written) breach of privacy or related discrimination will be treated as a very serious matter by Charitek.

Charitek recognises that individuals - sometimes people who are very vulnerable - place a trust in this organisation that they are free to confide personal information, and that anything divulged will be treated with confidentiality, respect and dignity.
