Promoting Local History in the Allertonshire Wapentake of the North Riding of Yorkshire.
What we do
A non-profit making organisation, which seeks to promote interest in Local History in the Allertonshire Wapentake of the old North Riding, but in practice supports Local History activity anywhere in the modern county of North Yorkshire.
Offers a full programme of meetings, talks and visits.
Undertakes research projects on local subjects, except family history.
Membership open to anyone interested in the Local History of the area.
All levels of interest welcomed.
