The club has been in existence for 54 years and serves the communities of Thirsk and Northallerton. We are a service organisation and part of Lions Club International. The mission statement is `To be the global leader in community and humanitarian service'. We are seeking more members for the club so we can provide more services for the local community. There are lots of opportunities to help the club with its charitable endeavors throughout the year.
We raise money via our Santa Sleigh collections, as well as the Christmas and Easter raffles. During the year we support various events as marshalls.
We use any monies raised to support local communities by awarding grants, scholarships and encouraging youth projects.
