North Yorkshire County Council created the Stronger Communities Team in 2014, with a delivery manager in each district of the county. Marion Tweed Rycroft is the Delivery Manager for Craven. The aim of the team is to improve health and wellbeing and reduce inequalities through strengthening community organisations, developing local services and encouraging the communities of North Yorkshire to recognise and fulfil their potential to help themselves.
Provide information and advice to community organisations
Lead a collaborative asssessment of organisational strength
Facilitate collaboration and partnership working
Fund organisational development support for strategically important partner organisations
Give grants to grassroots and larger voluntary organisations
Develop projects in partnership with community organisations
