The successful applicant will act as a hub for all volunteer activity within CADAS - and in particular will support volunteer recovery coaches who provide therapeutic support to people with substance dependencies.
We are looking for a person with excellent people skills, well connected in South Lakeland who values volunteering and shares the ABCD approach when it comes to supporting people in recovery.
The main base for this role is Kendal but you will need to be able to travel to rural locations, sometimes outside of normal working hours and, as such, access to a vehicle is required.
The role is initially 15 hours per week (over two or three days) but we hope the successful applicant will help develop the position as work progresses. We are a flexible employer and would be happy to discuss how to make your working hours and office base work for you and your other commitments.
This is a "regulated" position and you would be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check with a vetting and barring check for both the adult and the children's workforce.
