Step into Action Wellbeing Cafe Facilitator - Closing date Sunday 25 Sep 2022
Pioneer Projects staff will deliver creative engagement activities and provide Key Worker support on a monthly basis.
This initiative builds on the proven model of the daytime Skipton Community Wellbeing Café, and similarly, will form part of the larger Craven Mental Health Framework of local Wellbeing Cafés/Hubs partnering local/grassroots provision with creative engagement and wellbeing support and in-reach mental health services from specialist providers.
This role will involve taking orders and serving customers, handling cash and balancing the till at the end of shift, ensuring the café is clean and tidy and checking stock levels.

The Café Facilitator will be responsible for:
● Setting up the café and cleaning down at the end of a shift
● Welcoming customers upon arrival
● Preparing café tables with special attention to cleanliness
● Taking and serving orders
● Issuing bills and accepting payments
● Stock control and ordering/shopping for snacks, drinks and disposables
● Cashing up at the end of a shift; banking cash; float management
● Maintaining a clean and tidy cafe area
● Ensuring excellent food hygiene at all times
● Ensuring excellent customer service
● Collaborating with other project staff/volunteers
● Dealing with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
● Attending project-related meetings, as appropriate
Skills and Experience
Essential
● Basic Food Hygiene Certification
● Attention to cleanliness and safety
● Previous serving experience
● Excellent people skills with a polite and friendly attitude
● Confident communicator
● Responsible and trustworthy
● Patience and customer-oriented approach
● Excellent Organisation skills
● Willingness to undertake training
● Customer Service experience
Desirable
● Safeguarding knowledge and experience
● Experience working in the voluntary sector
● Emergency First Aid at Work Qualification
● Prior experience of working with vulnerable adults
