Building Better Opportunities: Getting Cumbria to Work - Keyworker - Closing date Thursday 21 Apr 2022
Based at CADAS, your role will involve supporting our clients (existing and new) to progress towards or secure employment by overcoming barriers through the provision of peer support as part of the Getting Cumbria to Work (GCtW) Barrow and South Lakeland partnership, led by Cumbria CVS. This might involve in-depth 1:1 support, confidence building and support accessing work experience or retraining opportunities. You will signpost clients to relevant BBO GCtW partners to help them get specific support in areas including debt advice, mental health, or substance use.
Being able to show the impact of this work on the beneficiaries will be key so applicants must have a sound understanding of and competency in administrative processes, reporting tools and Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel, and Access.
This is a hybrid role working from home and from our Barrow office. You will also be expected to work from our Kendal office as well as attend team meetings at venues throughout the county (mostly Kendal, Penrith, and Carlisle) and occasionally work outside of normal working hours. Access to a vehicle is required.
CADAS offers some great benefits to employees, including a 6% company pension, 36 days paid holiday (pro-rata) and flexible working.
This is a regulated position, and you would be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
