Leaving The Bus Terminus at Sike-Meadow, Barrow in Furness, LA14 4DY at 11am we will take the route via Bank Lane/Park Rd. to Sandscale Industrial Park where we will follow the route ‘off the beaten track’ to the historical Black Huts. These were built originally as sea defenses in the WW1 Era and were later inhabited in the early 20th Century and became an off grid community. The views and beach over Lowry Point are stunning. A great picnic opportunity also!
