Opening of The Combat Cafe @ Leeds Utd - Wednesday 12 Jan 2022
Veterans Cafe serving Breakfast, Brews and Conversation followed by activities, days out, events.
Combat Cafe and Re-Connect – Sporting Force will work in targeted locations across the NE and Yorkshire to develop improved mental health in vulnerable and isolated veterans through regular sport and physical activity taking place at professional sports organisations.
We will combine sport with specialised workshops and events designed to improve resilience, mental health and wellbeing.
Eligibility criteria – proof of service – service number Tri – Service Veterans
In addition for those struggling with their mental wellbeing our 12 Sessions Operation Regain (personal development through activity) programme will be delivered at safe places within the V3P portfolio for 12-16 veterans.
Safe Place in Leeds - Elland Rd, within the Leeds United Stadium the Combat Cafe.
Other areas that will be served are Keighley, South Yorks, East Yorks and North Yorkshire.
