Parkinson's UK update regarding support during Covid19 - Wednesday 15 Apr 2020
Parkinson’s Local Advisers are here to support people with Parkinson’s and their families, now more than ever during these unprecedented times of coronavirus.
Like many organisations, we are following NHS and Government guidance and in line with this we have understandably had to suspend all home visits and face to face client work until further notice at Parkinson's UK. However, we want to ensure that the people who need us most, access the help they need.
Please do continue to refer/ pass on our contact details whether that’s someone with Parkinson's, a carer, friend or family member, so we can continue to provide tailored support to ensure no one goes through this difficult period alone. We are also aware many NHS Parkinson’s services have reduced or stopped as people are redeployed and want to ensure people continue to have access to information and support.
Our Local Adviser service is open via telephone advice to provide essential support in these difficult times. Our Parkinson's UK Helpline also remains open to support clients.
T: 0808 800 0303 (also open Saturdays 10-2pm)
Alternatively, email our Parkinson's North Local Adviser Team on [email protected] or telephone our duty line 0344 225 9862 between 10am- noon (mon-Fri) or contact me directly.
Best wishes to you all and stay safe,
